Haz Mat Special Services is an approved and rated Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO), according to the standards of the U.S. Coast Guard. This means, our company is able to provide inland and maritime services to our clients. Our experienced team and broad array of equipment, including rapid response boats, skimmers, vacuum truck, tanks, pontoon excavator, all terrain vehicles, reconnaissance drones and stockpile of sorbent materials, means that we are prepared for emergencies of any scale. When minutes count, we don't waste time and can bring the resources needed to contain and confine any spill. HMSS accepts no other standard than "the best of the best."

Because of our ORSO certification by the U.S. Coast Guard, HMSS is able to do what we do. Our fleet of response boats includes six airboats, four cabin push boats, four skimmers, one jet boat, one CG safe boat, and numerous small water crafts, in addition to 60,000 feet of skirted boom, 10,000 feet staged in dry van trailer, and other containment/confinement materials. The ORSO certification, combined with the equipment we’ve accumulated over our years in the industry, has allowed our spill response services to be available 24/7 to the people and businesses of the Gulf South.
